Afghans mark Muslim mourning

Under the militantly Taleban, Afghan Shias were harassed and marginalised. The Wahhabi Taleban and their al-Qaeda and non-Afghan Wahhabi allies brutally punished resistance in Shia areas - massacring civilians and burning down whole villages - even schools and mosques!

It is now 1300 years that the enemies of Islam and enemies of prophet's family, which call themselves Muslim, try and wish that Muslims forget Muharram and Ashura,. The Messenger of Allah - may Allah bestow peace and benedictions upon him and his Progeny - said:

"Husayn is from me and I am from Husayn" - "O' Allah I love Hassan and Husayn, do love then and love those who love them"

Yes, Imam Husayn was martyred at the hands of those who would kiss the Black Stone because the holy Prophet kissed it, yet cut off the precious head of that dear grandson of the holy Prophet, a head which the Prophet so often stroked and kissed with affection. May Allah's curse be upon them.

Ashura Ceremonies this year were large-scale in Afghanistan. Afghan interim leader Hamid Karzai joined Shia Muslims in the capital Kabul to mark the ceremony of Ashura. "Hussein [a.s] died to protect truth and justice," Mr Karzai said.

Muslims should Remember Ashura, to humiliate the group [Umayyads and Wahhabis] who call themselves the inheritors of the traditions of the Prophet for the remembrance of it will prove that they are the inheritors of the killers and murderers of the Prophet's family, and enemies of Islam. Choose mourning, to continue the constant historical struggle of the prophet's family against usurpers, treachery, cruelty, and the sources of fraud, lying and degeneration, and especially to keep alive the memories of the lord of martyrs, Sayyidina Imam Husayn [a.s] and the martyrs of Karbala.
